Rain Rain go away!

I have a gig on sunday myself...looks like the rain will be out of here by Sunday it's just the run off I hope is out of here.

I almost made a post on rain the other day, because I think it rains in Florida EVERY DAY.  Of course, rain is in my forecast today and tomorrow.  Today are paid gigs, so not as stressful, but tomorrow.

I painted at a car show dor 12 hours yesterday and 12 hours today!  And was I amazed! no rain either days. of course it was dead yesterday, but today made up for it, painted all day long under my tent, but I had a cool breeze!  Good nite all sleep well!

Well the rain got me good on Thursday!  I was set upre, the fnt well, really well. So dumb me I left my mended ezup tent up with myy bach drop attached. Organizer called me at 6pm on Thursday after the storm came threw!  Took my tent and twisted it like a pretzel!  My back drop was all twisted around all the bend broken poles!  Mine and about 15 other tents. Big trees down, some came down in the middle of tents!  They lost not only their tent but there goods. The only thing I leave is my table and two medal chairs, I take everything else home!  Half our city is without power, and trees every where!  Today is Friday I got a call last night from an organizer from Bronson, 60 miles from me. They were having there polish fest friday and saturday and he seen my pics on the net, ask me if I could do it. After the bad news of my tent I agreed to go.  He said it would be tons of people and the hours were 9am to 9pm! long day. so I leave my house at 6am for the drive. got there sat up and did not paint one face until 1pm! I was ticked! My first three face paintings were full faces. I charged $8 for them apiece. one hour later all three came back to get a fix up! OMG it looked like they had water thrown on them, I thought what the H--L! Come to find out they had two jump houses! Hmmm I put up a sign saying that I would not be doing any touch ups from the jump house! So I pushed glitter tats! OMG I did about 50 in the next three hours, $5 each. That saved my butt!  I did end up leaving at 7pm, couldn't hang any more!  Had to stop at Sams and buy a new ezup for tomorrow ren faire, at $250! That baby is coming down each night. I did get 20 years out of my last one tho. My back drop suffered one hole, tha I had to mend tonight, a pole went thre it!  Weatherman says severe storms on sunday all day!  GOD I love ya, but I can't keep buying these tents each time, please watch over this one! It is a sweet one! alot stronger than my old one was and so pretty white!

Gina, what a nightmare!  Is this weather normal this time of year for Michigan?  Just curious, because I grew up in Ohio, which isn't far and we always had dry spells in the summer.

We've had more of the same here in Florida, rain almost every day.  Sunny and hot today... so far.

Yep all we seem to be having here in Liverpool is blooming rain and the drains can't cope , had to walk through knee deep puddles to pick the kids up from School,stupid weather.
