I think arts and crafts stores may carry it or maybe a bead shop.
I"m close to Berkeley so there are lot of stores there or in S.F. that have henna.

For almost anything related to Henna you can try www.hennapage.com    They are the most inclussive site on henna around.  They have downloadable books on designs, mixing, things to avoid and suppliers.  I highly recommend it!  Smiley

Where did you buy your henna?  I can't recommend a good brand, because I haven't jumped into the henna field yet.

I thought people Made their own henna.
At least, the purists.
I thought that people who were into it
made a big activity of making a lot of it for a whole day
at a time.

And then they have it all over their hands, kitchen, clothes......

Yep, I've heard of that too and keeping it in the fridge and whatnot, it's sounds so complicated that I'm afraid to even go there.  I also wonder when I hear artists talking about spraying it with the sugar water.  Here in the south, the first thing I thought of was ants.  Any kind of food or sweetner about and ants are swarming it many times within minutes.

Make sure you check with your insurance before branching out into henna! When I was getting mine (only about a month ago, mind you), there was a question about whether or not I do henna as a service, and when I spoke to the insurance broker, she said something about not being able to be insured if I did...I don't remember exactly why though. Maybe because of all that black henna stuff?

Then, I was browsing another fp's site who is insured through the same place I am, and she had henna listed...I know I'm not being very helpful, but I wanted to mention it!
