Face painting with Snaz powders
« on: July 22, 2010, 06:38:58 AM »

I did this on Kendal with the Snazaroo glitter powders.  I wanted to try a design using the eye poxy.  I think they stick and stand out better with that.  I think I've heard that you can also apply them wet, so maybe it would work the same as the eye poxy?  The eye poxy reminds me of vaseline.

Is "eye poxy" some kind of adhesive for the gems you used?
Did you used the glitter powders only for the color and regular fp for the lines?
I have no experience in powders and I am curious.

No, eye poxy isn't adhesive.  It's for use under eyeshadow and the shimmer powders.  It makes the shimmer powders more vibrant and stay better.  I saw it demo'd at the Face Painting Convention in Vegas and decided to buy some myself and try it out.  In this picture I used the Snaz powders for the base and DFX violet for the line work.

Here's a link to the eye poxy.  If you've been frustrated with your shimmer powders not sticking well or being too pale, you'll love this stuff!  http://www.amerikanbodyart.com/Glitter-Eyeliner-Glamour-Eyes.html

Sounds like eye shadow primer, I have some might have a play later. Looks good Sherry.
