I am an Atlanta Face Painter though I have gone as far North as Birmingham and as far South as Columbus, GA.  I offer face painting, glitter tattoos, Fancy hair and customized beginning face painting classes.  I belong to two groups in Atlanta, Peachtree Clown Alley and Family Entertainers of Atlanta which is a group of all different types of entertainers that focus mostly on networking and marketing.

Hi Nancy,

I've just begun to offer beginner classes also.  I'm not sure this is something I really want to get into, but the person I buy Diamond FX from recommended I give classes, so I thought I'd try it.  I posted on my site for an hour class, but am now thinking it should be extended to 2 hours?  I thought I could teach the basics of face painting and one basic design that they pick for us to go over, like a butterfly, tiger or spiderman.

How long are the classes you offer and what do you teach?  Do you have a minimum of attendees before you offer the class?  Just curious.

I'm not sure she's on the board anymore, but I believe fancy hair is another name for crazy hair.  It's where you style people's hair in wild and crazy ways with colored hairspray and pipecleaners twisted in, etc.  Here's a site with pics:  http://www.wildandcrazyhair.com/

Looks like it's just sprayed on top.
I wouldn't want that done to My hair

Anybody here try it?  Does it ruin your hair color or texture?

I agree with you Alison.  I wanted to see if it was an additional service that I could offer but somehow I dont think the parents will allow it.

I kinda think of how I would feel if I had it on me.  Like if I were to 'ick' and be unhappy
or if I were to be unable to wash something off quickly at the end of the day
I wouldn't want to offer it.  Whether it be in my hair or on my skin.

Sometimes this gives me trouble when they want the pretty turquoise oooooh color that I used to use from Paradise.  Before I realized that I couldnt' wash it off.  It was such a head-turner.  Then it was in my Samples even though I didn't have it with me (I probably still have some stored in my studio).  And I feel frustrated if I'm working near other face-painters who are using the turquoise.
