Have you tried these? I saw Heather from SillyFarm.com advertise these a while ago, but I never acted upon it. If you've done it, DOES it pay off to charge like $5 per tattoo? Do a lot of people want one? Is it worth $50 dollars for a start-up kit? Thanks.

Hey Funky... I use the glitter tattoos and it seems to depend on the venue. I haven't had a lot of luck with it until recently. I don't think glitter tattoos are well known in my area, but since I've made up my new sign with pictures of the tattoos, they've become more popular. I sell them for $5 each and I bought the Glimmer Kit. I think it would pay off, but most likely not at your first event. Just my experience with it.

I've had pretty much the same experience, making a better board helped. More of the older kids seem to want them instead of the facepaint. If you have an older crowd I'd make sure to feature it prominately.

I actually use the puffer bottles. I draw a design on with an eyeliner pencil, then use the latex glue in steps
I apply the glue where I want one color --then when it becomes less white-- I use the puffer bottle of the color I want. I brush that off, apply glue where the next color goes and continue on.
I found using a brush to dip into the powders, my brush got tacky from glue residue and my glitters would not be crisp in their designated area--
I draw designs like henna designs-- turns out nice this way--AND I can see where the glue is that I applied!

This sounds really nice. Do you happen to have any pics of the tattoos that you could post? I'd love to see them. I'd like to try the glitter tattoos in the way you describe... sounds much more precise.

I did this one a few days ago so it's starting to wear.... I started with the center then glittered outward -- did the yellows together, the greens I also experimented with doing the small areas first... And the black eyeliner stayed because of the glue overlay--gave it some definition as well

I think I'll try that too. I agree about the brush becoming sticky. It got so bad I kept some alcohol on hand to clean the brush between tattoos. I haven't tried the bottles yet either, they sound MUCH easier to use.

Also- hairy arms!! UGH! how to get the glitter NOT to attach itself to surrounding hair!!
I use alcohol wipes to clean the surrounding hair area--and I found that tape--can lift off unwanted glitter as well
I am going to try leaving a tattoo in place and poofing one section at a time as well--THEN remove the tattoo and see if that minimizes errant glitter

Wow... that's a really nice tattoo! I've put eyeliner pencil on my list, because I now want to start trying some freehand. Because of the heat and humidity lately, I've started leaving the stencil on too, just to keep the glitter from sticking to the wrong areas. I've also started dusting with cornstarch before applying the stencil and this seems to help as well. Sometimes I have problems with the long arm hairs too, but it's when I'm doing a face paint design on the arm. It's so crazy sometimes, when the paint is gooping up on the hairs. I'm thinking while I'm painting, "how can I work around this and make the design look good."

The one I like is Revlon Color Stay in Black-- writes like a fine marker--but doesn't smear all over
Cornstarch works well? I'll try that too. I'd really like to get this down well, because the teenagers love it.

The glitter tattoos look great. I would also agree that the teenage girls really like these as well.

Well - how did it go?
I imagine that the problem would be in keeping the Party moving. The timing. Don't you have to paint on the clear glue, WAIT FOR IT TO DRY, and then add the glitter to make those beautiful things?
