New Contest - Halloween/Fall designs

A new contest!  It will be a Halloween/ Fall themed designs.  Full face or cheek art permitted.  No designs that have been used in another contest.  It will run from now until October 31st, or until we have 4 members participating. Each contestant can enter up to 3 designs.  Please post your contest entries here and also send a copy to my emails address of sherrys.funfaces@gmail.com.

Hi! I am getting ready to paint at a Scarecrow Fest on Sat, so I have turned myself into one.
I am also including the step by step photos. I don't do video at this time. I just bought a pack
of fan wisp brushes of various sizes and enjoyed using them on this project.
I used Snazaroo for all the colors except for white and black, those are Wolfe.

Halloween is IN the air!

Dabbed light tan and yellow over face and neck


Added shaded areas with dark brown


Brushed on dark orange and red nose


Used fan wisp brush to add light yellow hightlights


Then wisped on white highlights


Did line work with dark brown




Added some more depth with black. Viola!

Wina!  Very amazing scarecrow! And I love the step by steps, I also did step by steps on my Zombie, but I didn't post them.  Congrats on such a wonderful informative posting, I sure this will be of value to all the amazing painters on our wonderful forum!

It also frightened me when I was finished! hahahaha And you should have seen my 6 month old grand daughter Hannah when she looked at me!  Her eyes got big as saucers! I did a step by step of this design, I was real pleased the way the final design came out! Thanks again

I really love it. You do such a great job! I've pretty much determined I better just stick to my glitter tattoos. I have no patience or time in my life right now to practice face painting. My husband wants to kill me for buying face paints and now not using them...oops.

I was just playing while thinking of one of my scariest moments in a horror film: Aliens and the face hugger!
So I got out my paints. I may do this again to perfect it, but here's the first go. Maybe make it another color? Now, my friends want me to do the bugger that rips through your chest!
