If you have a balloon to share, take a picture and give us directions on how to duplicate it! Let refrain from posting comments about the balloons, but just make this a topic for posting "how-to's" Sound good?

I love this idea... hopefully we can get some step by steps.  Grin  Maybe you can start one off?

OK, here's a quick and easy boy favorite.

2 different color 260's.

1st one
inflate with 2" tail, burp, tie off.
1" bubble, twist, push air through balloon so that it inflates to end. Use the 1" bubble to wrap that balloon around and make a big loop, leaving a long tail out of the loop. This will be the Dino tail. Lock teist the 1" to the main balloon to secure loop.

Fit the large loop over the child's head and fold twist a section in the front to make it fit their head. This should be opposite the tail on the loop and will look like the dino's front legs.

2nd balloon
inflate with 2" tail, burp, tie off.
Use nozzle to wrap around small balloon and tail on first balloon and attach them together.
2" bubble, twist, 1 1/2" fold twist, 2" bubble, twist, 1 1/2", fold twist, 2" bubble, twist, 1 1/2", fold twist, 2" bubble, twist. These are the spines and back of the dino. After last 2" twist attach at that point to the front of the other balloon where you made that fold twist to look like legs.

Use remainder of balloon to make neck and head of dino. Shape tail and head and draw on eyes and mouth.

I hope this is understandable. It always seems more complicated when you write it out!

Oh.  Oh.  It seems easy, but I just got stuck.
Quote:  1" bubble, twist, push air through balloon so that it inflates to end. Unquote.
Push air through balloons to that it inflates to the end?  What's that?

Makes sense that I guess it would make a Softer Balloon, but I can't seem to push the air through.  HOW IS THAT DONE?

Meanwhile, I'll just wing it.  I think I can make something like this with the excellent directions we have here.

Okay - I figured out something for pushing the air down to the tail.  It does make the balloon much nicer.  But it is not going to work for my application.  I'm currently looking for stuff to teach kids ages 5 - 10 in a 45-minute session.  The pushing (which did take a long time for me), the angled bends..... isn't going to happen.  This 'simple' balloon is too advanced for this particular job.

Still, it was fun for me.  That pushing really makes the balloon

s   o   f   t     .   .   .   .

Here's how I did it:

Left the tail as instructed.  Made the 1" bubble at the knotted end.
Then held that bubble as I reached down to the tail end of the balloon.
Twisted a 5" sausage and pushed that all the way to the end of the balloon.  Gave up the tail-twist.
Then loosely manipulated the balloon until the air was (almost) evenly distributed throughout the whole balloon.  I did it!  Nice, but not worth the effort.  Perhaps someone could tell me the 'right' way to push that air.

BTW - It felt like a 2-day-old balloon after pushing the air.  Soft

Thank you for the design, Beth.
I'm not always Teaching.
Actually, I teach as little as possible.  Haven't done it in years, but I needed the extra job just now.
