How would you handle this situation?

You book an event that's rather far, so to make it worth your time, you require a 2 hour minimum. Once there, you realize that you'll barely be able to fill an hour. How would you handle this?

Happens to me alot, I just go EXTRA slow and talk with the kids.
I also try to give them something spectacular rather than my regular speed designs.
It also may be an opportunity to gather pictures for your portfolio sing you'll be doing more elaborate intricate design.
talking with the kids is great too cause it makes the parents feel like you're a friend.
And you dont only have to talk to the one you're painting, you can ask them all a question.
like how old is everyone? who like to draw? what do you want to be when you grow up.... blah blah blah
this also helps because the kids in line are talking and dont feel like they're waiting a long time.
also, you can ask if anyone wants stuff on their arms.... make sure they know they have to get back in line

Start painting yourself. Say out loud, "anyone want to see me paint a "_______?"
I also would make excessively elaborate designs to kill time. I'm surprised you don't
have kids asking for two or three things on them. Good luck!

Yeah, a lot of these kind of events end up like that, with the kids looking like they're all tattooed up!

I tend to do all the faces 1st, telling them to come back later for 2ns, then do 1 arm each, then a 2nd arm when all have had their 1st, etc...
