I love to see setups too. I took a few pics of mine at my Farmer's Market today, so I'll have a few pics to post tomorrow.

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh I love nosing at painter's kit. I love it. Gina, I love your backdrop. Gorgeous. Did you paint those pumpkins and corns thingy yourself? I used to paint lots of those but could never make any money out of it. I ended up giving most of them away as presents

Yes I did! I had a woodcraft business for almost 30 years! I drew out my own designs, cut them out of wood, sanded them and painted them and then sold them! Ahhh it was such a great striving business in the last 15 years of it, I exceeded my yearly pay for the factory job I worked at for 30 years! I di about 30 shows a year. But I had to stop the heavy lifting! Two back surgeries and 9 surgeries between both arms! Plus my four helpers (my daughters) grew up and became adults! So it was real easy to transfer my love of art onto the skin! And in those years I taught myself how to airbrush. My back drop was all hand painted, except the color behind the paints, that was shot with my airbrush. It is a real eye catcher at the Ren Faires. Thank you

I love it Gina, before I found face painting, My favourite surface was painting on wood, it was hard to find interesting pieces to paint. I am not good with woodwork, I ended up doing a lot of trash to treasure kind of projects. xoxoxo

Gina, Your backdrop is awesome. A few questions: Is that all one piece on the back or is it a couple put together? I don't see any seems. How wide is the canvas sold? It is so very well done. It's giving me ideas. I always loved wood and plaster art. My sister in law, like you, is a terrific tole painter. What are the items hanging from the sides? Are they shields or chest armor? Very nice! But I expect nothing less from you!

The material the back drop is made out of is muslin! 13 yards of 48", and 13 yards of 36" the seam goes horizontal threw the middle. I made ties every three feet on the top to secure it to the frame. I used 5"strips of heavy vynal table clothes and sewed them across the top, the bottm and down each corner on the back side of the back drop for re-enforcement! This has gone threw 16 weekends of ren faires this year, high winds, thunder storms and heavy rains, and it has not one hole in it! The wood hanging up are welcome signs, I personalize them at my booth. The wood on the table is just some fall pumpkins with a candle in the the back so the flicker shines threw the grates of the front. I also did wood craft for many many years! And because this ren faire is going on now, I just took afew fall designs with me. I have done real well with the welcome signs, have almost sold out of them, I started with 72 of them, down to about 10 now! Just left over stock from a couple of years ago. I still have crates and crates of product left in storage. I also do tole painting alote. Donna Dewberry was my idol years and years ago, and now I chat and e-mail with her all the time! Go figure!
