Jacksonville Face Painting Jam - Wednesday, January 12th

We're having our monthly face painting jam at the Denny's on Blanding
Blvd. right off the 295 exit in Orange Park.

 It'll be Wednesday, January 12th from 6
- 8:30 p.m.  Come at anytime during those hours.

We have our jam the second Wednesday each month.  All skill levels welcome.  Bring your kit and come out and paint.  We plan to have a mini balloon jam as well, so feel free to bring your balloons.

We didn't do a lot of face painting at the jam, but I did do a couple.  Wednesday nights at Dennys have been pretty slow, but we did get a few.



She was one of the waitresses and she went around meowing the rest of the night.  Ha.

How often do you set these jams up? Monthly?
What do you get from Denny's for offering your services?

We have this once a month.  I don't charge Denny's, because I'm not really working for them.  They let us use their back area and in return I paint for free.  They do offer me a free meal and drinks and I put out a tip jar and my business cards, but the other artists can put out their cards as well, if they wish. 

I don't charge them and then I feel comfortable talking with other artists and not being in work mode.  Plus I bring out my face painting supplies to sell while I'm there.

I have taught class at I HOP"S!  They were wonderful on giving me a section of the resturant to teach in, in exchange for the space, all of us order a meal, they supply us with all the drinks we want for the night, we also offer face painting to I HOP customers at jam time, it is alote of fun. Most resturants will work out some thing with your group.

I didn't realize they had this stuff going on at IHOP's until we ate breakfast there on Sunday and I saw the balloon twister.  It looked like he had an IHOP shirt on, so I couldn't tell if he worked for IHOP or if he was subcontracting.  We didn't stay long enough for me to figure that one out.
