Sand
« on: January 11, 2010, 05:09:25 PM »

Lol - I worked a gig on December 31 where there was another woman
set up for the kids to do Sand Art - You know, the colorful sand that they fill into clear containers.
They gave me one to take home.

Well, the sand is not as rough as real sand from the beach
(certainly not as smooth as body glitter, but the texture might be
interesting?)

I'm not sure if I'd ever offer that to the public,
but I am thinking.
Perhaps I'll try one on myself.
Bright colors, and I still never got a real temp-tattoo set.

What do you think?

I am curious to see if the sand would last as long as the glitter?

I like the glitter because of the "glimmer" aspect.

Not sure how you would market "sand tattoos."  Huh?

Let us know how it works.

I was set up next to a vendor offering sand art in November.  I would never have thought to use it with the glitter tattoo glue.  Have you heard of the mica tats?  I think there similar.  People use shimmer and mica powders, I believe, instead of glitter.  It has a more matte look.

It's always on offer at parties here; also with thos funky wee lictures where each section peels off like a sticker so you can coat it in sand like a colouring pic.

Not sure the sand dye is waterfast or even non-toxic, etc - you would have to check very carefuly. Its also prob not been apprved for use on body, would negate your insurance.

Thanks for the Safety Reminder - It's just not worth taking a chance.
